Barons Struggle at Gonzaga Blue and White

The Bishops Barons just could not recover from a Saturday morning loss to McDonald Drive Jr High who handed the Barons a 61-51 loss. The Barons fought back with a strong effort against the Gonzaga Blue but fell short with a 58-49 loss. The Barons defeated Mobile in the consolation game 58-52.

An excellent effort was put forth by all players both offensively and defensively. Cumulative high scorers for the tournament include Amy Gough (54pts) Laura Crocker (35pts) and Amanda Martret (14pts) Maria Philpott and Casey Dunn also had 11 pts for the weekend.

Our Most Spirited Player was awarded to Samantha Burke for her outstanding cheering efforts and comedic relief on and off the court. I particularly enjoyed the "It's time" comment. Congratulations.
