Forms and Fees

Please remember to bring your forms in next week! AND there is a 100$ players fee. To cover transport to and from games, brand new ladies balls, and other equipment, league fees, refs, etc..please bring this as well.

Elevation Tournament

The Elevation Tournament will be hosted at our gym December 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. All Basketball teams will be involved in this tournament as a fundraising event to put all our basketball teams in UNIFORMS. Proceeds from the Gate and Canteen will be split amongst all 3 teams. Sr. Boys Basketball and Jr. Boys Basketball will be taking care of the gate and time keeping/scoring. Our team is responsible for the canteen. I would like you girls to mention this to your parents as I would greatly appreciate a parent volunteer to coordinate the canteen. That is make sure that the canteen is stocked (but not too stocked) and organise a schedule to make sure that some is on duty at all times during the tournament and to help supervise the canteen. I will make sure that there is a float etc provided. If someone is interested please have them contact me.
Meanwhile, if players or parents have other ideas for fundraising events please contact me.

Barons edge out the Saxons (corrected)

The Bishops College girls basketball with 7 players strong, edged out the Beaconsfield Saxons, Sunday November 5, 2006. The girls led the first three periods but the Saxons fought back to take a strong lead in the 4th. The Saxons continued to hold until the last 3 minutes of the 5th when the Bishops Girls took control of the game and possession of the ball. The girls fought back from a 14 point defecit with a nailbitting ending. Beth Peddle finished strong on the offensive rebound with seconds on the clock and shut down BJH's attempt to clinch the lead. The game was sealed by a text book fast break with a beautiful 3pt play by Sarah Hansford in the last 4 seconds of the game to give the girls their first win this season. Final Score 51-50.
